Medical Image Processing using AI, HTIC Intern (June–July 2024)

  • Developed training‑data pipeline and trained YOLO model to fool‑proof a neurovascular instrument (Artensis).
  • Converted SGL/LVM files into B‑mode ultrasound images and annotated nerve locations for supervised training.
  • Engineered overlap‑feature to control image density per file, balancing efficiency and compute cost.
  • Implemented smart deadband filters to suppress non‑physiological artifacts (e.g. gel‑contact noise).
  • Deployed YOLOv8 on images to detect biological structures, leveraging wall‑motion polarity to distinguish vessels.
  • Processed data from 300 patients, generating 2 million+ images for ML training.
  • Used Python for data cleaning, augmentation and unbiased performance analysis.

I am an Electrical Engineering student at IIT Madras, with a background from Bhashyam College. Originally from Andhra Pradesh, I am a proactive individual who readily learns from others and adapts to new technologies and environments.

My interests span mathematics, technology, signal processing, AI, and communications. As an extrovert, I enjoy connecting with new people, and I have a keen interest in news and social welfare activities.
